At the corner of Jackson and 7th Streets sits the building that currently houses Blockhouse Coffee & Kitchen, LIT Bookbar (coming soon!), POMP Boutique, Family Style Design Co and the Born in the Bend podcast. Behind the building is a big, beautiful backyard and playscape where we host events like our Sunday Farmstand & Market, monthly #StorytimeWithCristina, community fitness classes, private parties, and more!

Storytime with Cristina
Every third Tuesday of the month, Cristina from Usborne Books & More, visits the backyard and reads an adorable children’s story. Our backyard story hour is a favorite among Blockhouse families, giving the kids a place to run, jump and play while the adults mingle and get to know their neighbors. Cristina reads at 10:00am and 10:30am and follows with a free activity for the babes.
Sunday farmstand & Market
In the fall of 2017, we began hosting Jen & Peg, from Needville's Three Sisters Farm every other Sunday. In the years since, we have added to our vendor lineup, showcasing many quality Fort Bend Makers. Our Sunday Farmstand & Market is anchored by Three Sisters Farm, but has grown to include many more vendors providing heirloom seedlings, fresh bread, baked sweets, pies, soy candles, handmade soaps, and more! Expect to find Three Sisters on the property every 2nd & 4th Sunday from 10AM-1PM, joined by a variety of Fort Bend’s best cottage businesses.
Blockhouse backyard fitness
We are proud to partner with local fitness instructors and studios to offer outdoor yoga, bootcamps, and more in our beautiful backyard. Classes are held intermittently throughout the year.
